SARASOTA, FL-So you may have heard about a robot named, "Waldo" a Red Tide Algae detector. Its job was to travel around off the southwest coast of FL in the Gulf of Mexico. With some strange malfunction, Waldo was lost at sea. Considering algae research for bio-fuel has been around a while and has recently bloomed with popularity, this loss could have been costly. Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota put out a reward to any boaters that 'Found Waldo'. That's love for a robot if I've ever seen it. Kinda like T-Pain and his vocoder...

This past Sunday saw some great competition from some of South Florida's finest. This was a very successful event from the organizers at Surf World (the premier dealer of SUP's) myconchshell.com was in full support of the event. Especially with the help of one Mrs. Kathy Arseneau. Thanks Kathy!

You probably recognize this guy...huh? Right now as this article is being written, I am watching Rob Machado win a heat surfing Lower Tressles as a wild card in a match against the ASP's world #1Joel Parkinson.  Pretty friggen sweet!

When he's not in person or on live broadcast, you can probably find him in a very polished video somewhere at any given time. Certainly one of the more popular pro's, Rob is about to get a little more spot light. He has a pretty awesome flick coming out this fall called, 'The Drifter' checkout the trailer.
