I recently purchased a new Samsung LCD TV and it had a DLNA feature that I was interested in. DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) is a standard used to stream media over a network. This would be nifty in my home network to share all the music, video and pictures on my media server through the other devices in my home.
Unfortunately, Samsung's included software was finicky with my library and would crash while trying to build a library of media. I also tried a few other DLNA media server applications such as TVersity and Serviio, but none seemed to work as easily and nicely as Mezzmo. Mezzmo's setup was a breeze and it scanned my rather large library relatively quick.
So if you're in the market for a good DLNA media server application, you should check out www.mezzmo.com. They offer a free 15-day trial, so you can try before you buy at the reasonable price of $24.95.
You probably recognize this guy...huh? Right now as this article is being written, I am watching Rob Machado win a heat surfing Lower Tressles as a wild card in a match against the ASP's world #1Joel Parkinson. Pretty friggen sweet!
When he's not in person or on live broadcast, you can probably find him in a very polished video somewhere at any given time. Certainly one of the more popular pro's, Rob is about to get a little more spot light. He has a pretty awesome flick coming out this fall called, 'The Drifter' checkout the trailer.
